Promoting French engineering to major international clients is one of the aims of Syntec-Ingénierie’s International Committee. For member companies, this includes the following activities, amongst others:

PROMOTION OF FRENCH EXPERTISE

The funding bodies

Syntec-Ingénierie aims to be proactive in proposing ways to improve the consultation and procurement procedures. Discussions therefore take place with the main funding bodies on topics such as taxation, procurement rules, CSR and service quality.
These steps result in positive developments for the engineering companies concerned.

REGULAR CONTACTS WITH COUNTRIES

By Geographical aera and/or targeted industries

Syntec-Ingénierie undertakes to form lasting and stable ties with foreign engineering federations. The aim is to ensure good relationships with the member companies and thus encourage partnerships. Collective actions are therefore arranged at the member engineering companies’ request:
• Memoranda of understanding to encourage market access to member companies,
• Making operational recommendations, etc.
These are managed towards priority geographical areas and/or targeted industries such as the Sustainable City, Rail, Sport, Renewables, etc.

REPRESENTING THE SECTOR’S INTERESTS

When dealing with international clients

Within the framework of its International Committee, Syntec-Ingénierie establishes the positions taken by the member engineering companies and presents them to international clients. By giving priority to constructive dialogue in favour of Syntec-Ingénierie’s interest, we strive – for example – to take action against the recurring risk of unfair competition, and to support member companies in specific areas of collective approaches requested by clients for international deals (Ethics, CSR, PPP, etc.).
