Bring stakeholders together to serve major transitions

Syntec-Ingénierie is the professional engineering federation

It represents the 80,580 outsourced industrial engineering and building companies based all around our territory. Syntec-Ingénierie includes 13 regional delegations and has been presided by Michel Kahan since June 2023.

Our reason for being

Voice of the profession, Syntec-Ingénierie brings scientific and technical intellectual service companies together at the heart of environmental, industrial and land-use planning issues.

Syntec-Ingénierie acts with public authorities and economic actors who are in need of a global vision and of a reliable partner to prepare for the future and carry out projects.

Syntec-Ingénierie values innovation and talents of men and women in our companies to succeed collectively major transitions and allow a sustainable economic development.

The reason for being of Syntec-Ingénierie is based on 3 key commitments:

  1. accelerate re-industrialization of France, mobilizing French engineering resources;
  2. inform decision-makers regarding the feasibility of recommendations on the climate;
  3. make young generations partners in the design of social impact projects.

Engineering charters

French engineering companies are involved in founding processes in favour of climate and gender equity. At the instigation of their federation, they have signed two commitment charters: the Engineering Charter for the Climate and the Engineering Charter for Gender Diversity. These charters allow to expand and accelerate actions that companies have carried out in the field for decades.

How it works?
    • Every year, the signatory companies undertake to carry out concrete actions at all action levels.
    • To advice and support signatories in the implementation of their commitments, Syntec-Ingénierie proposes documentation resources, webinars and information meetings, but also sessions where gender diversity referents can exchange and share their good practices.
